Regus and NMBS launch walk-in workspaces at key stations. Finding somewhere to do business at the station becomes as easy as buying a snack
BRUSSELS - Wednesday, November 19th 2014 [ME NewsWire]
(BUSINESS WIRE)-- An agreement between Regus and railway operator NMBS will provide workspaces, co-working hubs, and meeting rooms for train clients in Belgium. From early 2015, instant-access Regus Express business lounges will open across the country’s rail network. The launches will extend Regus’ network in Belgium to 21 locations, and transform business travellers’ and mobile workers’ ability to work on the go.
The launch is part of Regus’ global initiative to open professional work facilities at busy transport locations, including rail stations, airports and motorway service stations. Workers in Belgium - like those in France and the Netherlands – will be able to use their travel time more productively, making train stations key business locations.
The new Regus Express/NMBS centres will include business lounges, meeting rooms, high-speed wifi and office support. Concierge services will offer assistance with anything from printing to booking a taxi.
As a result, travellers and mobile workers will gain a more convenient, sustainable way to work and meet – using the rail network as a place to do business. With less need to commute to work or meetings, they can cut down on fuel use and time in traffic.
Vincent Bourlard, General Director ‘Stations’ at NMBS/SNCB, commented: “The partnership with Regus expands our offer to customers, building on the transformation of our network of railway stations into places where travellers not only board trains but also meet other people and work.”
William Willems, Regus Regional General Manager for Belgium and Luxembourg, added: “The busiest stations on the Belgian rail network are used by over 50,000 people each day, and these people will benefit from being able to work or meet on the spot. This agreement can transform their experience of commuting and working.”
The first centre will open at Liege Guillemins in early January. Further launches scheduled for 2015 include Antwerp, Bruges, Leuven, St Nicolas, and three stations in Brussels.
