ADP to Launch "The Road has its Ethics, and Speed has its Track" Initiative

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Sunday, November 16th 2014 [ME NewsWire]

The Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) has launched an awareness initiative under the slogan “The Road has its Ethics and Speed has its Track.” This comes as a part of the current preparations underway for the 2014 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The race will be held in Abu Dhabi, from 21 to 23 Nov., 2014 at the Yas Marina Circuit.

Lieutenant Colonel Saeed Al Khajah, Deputy Director of Tactical Affairs and Security Media Department at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, stressed the keenness of the ADP to keep up with the event as a part of the approach of the police command to communicate their interests with all sectors of society. The strategic priorities include working intensively to elevate the levels of safety and security within the community, and to achieve the goals of the police and security bodies through methods that are both modern and sustainable. 

In order to help reduce and prevent traffic accidents – which cause both human and material loss – Lieutenant Colonel Al Khajah urged “to promote the partnership and intensify the cooperation with various media institutions that foster social awareness surrounding various topics related to traffic. The various channels of the media play a major role in providing the public with the necessary knowledge and information that elevate traffic awareness.” As a part of the initiative and in line Lieutenant Colonel Al Khajah’s statement, the Security Media Department will organize a number of events on the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
