Civil Defense and rapid intervention teams managed to put out a huge fire that broke out on Thursday at an industrial tires warehouse in Al Ain Industrial Area. No casualties or injuries were reported.
Brigadier Hamad Ajlan Al Amimi, Director of Al Ain Police Directorate, stated that the Al Ain Police Operations Room received a tip-off from a citizen, about a fire that broke out at the warehouse. Firefighting and rescue vehicles, ambulance, emergency and public safety teams were immediately dispatched to location, assisted by the Falaj Hazza Police Station, which in turn, mobilized the competent authorities. The site was cordoned off, while firefighting teams worked on containing the blaze to prevent the flames from spreading to the neighboring warehouses.
For his part, Lt. Col. Rashid Hamar Ain Al Darmaki, Head of Al Ain Civil Defense Department, urged warehouse owners to adhere to the necessary safety and prevention requirements in warehouses, factories and engineering companies, in a bid to prevent fire accidents and maintain lives and property. He also advised them to take additional precautionary measures.
