RT System 2 – A RealTIME and CableFREE seismic data acquisition system scalable to high channel count configurations

SUGAR LAND, Texas - Tuesday, September 10th 2013

Wireless Seismic, Inc., the leading innovator of real-time and cable-free seismic data acquisition systems for the oil and gas industry, announced today the sale of its RT System 2 seismic data acquisition system to Atlas Geophysics LLC, based in Newcastle, Texas. Atlas is using RT System 2 for 2D and 3D acquisition projects in North Texas utilizing accelerated weight drop and dynamite sources.

“Atlas Geophysics selected the RT System 2 for our acquisition operations based on its flexibility and easy deployment,” stated Griffin Phillips, Owner, Atlas Geophysics. “We work in a variety of environments, and because the RT System 2 is easy to use and requires a minimal amount of manpower, our logistics run much more efficiently. We can quickly deploy and complete surveys in much less time than with cabled systems.”

“RT System 2 is designed and engineered to overcome the limitations of the currently available seismic recording systems and to deliver a reliable, cost-effective, easy-to-use solution for both conventional and nonconventional seismic operations,” said Roy Kligfield, CEO of Wireless Seismic.

“We are pleased that Atlas Geophysics has selected RT System 2 as a way to reduce their operating costs and increase their overall crew efficiency,” added Kligfield, “and we look forward to working with their team to ensure these benefits are realized.”

Wireless Seismic will be exhibiting RT System 2 at the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) annual conference in Houston, Texas, September 22-25.
