The Strategy and Performance Development Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, represented by the Teams and Championships Branch at the Sports Activity Section, reviewed the preparations for the eighth edition of the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship for 2016. The championship will be held in Abu Dhabi from 15-23 April at Zayed Sports City.
The consultative meeting, which was attended by liaison officers from the different participating police departments, tackled the latest arrangements for the plan established to ensure security during the championship. The meeting also discussed the wide array of activities presented by the Abu Dhabi Police departments during the events accompanying the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship2016.
The meeting also discussed the readiness of the participating police departments, as well as the social and recreational activities presented by these departments in the exhibition taking place on the sidelines of the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2016.
It is worth mentioning that the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2016 hosted by Abu Dhabi is one of the most important sports and youth events in the world. The championship will feature more than 5,000 of the world's best players from 100 countries.
