ADP Air Wing Department Airlifts Eight Injured Individuals to Al Mafraq Hospital

Including three Emirati nationals who were injured in a traffic accident

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Friday, September 18th 2015 [ME NewsWire]

An air ambulance from the Air Wing Department at Abu Dhabi Police recently carried out five humanitarian missions, where they transported eight injured people to Al Mafraq Hospital, after providing them with the necessary medical care.

The department revealed that ambulance crews handled the five notification calls received recently from the Operation Room with high professionalism. In the first incident, the air ambulance crew provided medical care to three young Emiratis aged between 14 and 17 years, who had sustained injuries in a traffic accident in Al Khatam area.

In two separate cases, the air ambulance aircraft airlifted an Indian man after his vehicle overturned on the trucks road in Al Khazna area, and a 17 year old South African young man who sustained injuries in a motorcycle accident in Suwaihan in Abu Dhabi. Similarly, the air ambulance aircraft provided medical care and airlifted two Asians, aged 32 and 30 who sustained injuries when their car overturned on the highway in Tarif. In the final mission, the air ambulance crew airlift a third Asian who sustained injuries in a run-over accident in Al Ruwais.

Notably, the Air Wing Department of the Abu Dhabi Police performs several specialized operations such as providing ambulance, search and rescue, aerial photography and roads surveillance services. The department uses the latest equipment, devices and mechanisms in the field of rescue and first aid to implement its ambulance and rescue services to patients and injured individuals.
