The Ministry of Interior, represented by Al Ain Residency and Foreigners Affairs Department, inaugurated the Self-service E-payment Machine (Sahel) in the customers’ transactions main hall at the Department. This step aims to streamline procedures and enable customers to pay traffic fines hassle-free and without delay.     The inauguration ceremony was attended by Colonel Khalifa Matar Balquba' Al Humairi, Director of the Residency and Foreigners' Affairs Center in Al Ain; and Colonel Hamad Nasser Al Bloushi, Head of Peripheral Regions Traffic Department at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at the Abu Dhabi Police.

In his address on this occasion, Colonel Al Humairi noted that installing the “Sahel” machine at the Al Ain Residency Headquarters reflects the department’s commitment to implement the Government’s instructions, on the need to streamline customers’ procedures across the various departments and government service institutions and enable them to avail of the service in the best and easiest way possible. This measure is part of the integration methodology to link the traffic fines payment system to the Naturalization and Residency transactions system.

For his part, Colonel Hamad Nasser Al Bloushi indicated that the Self-service E-payment Machine (Sahel) is designed to save the time and effort of  customers who failed to pay their traffic fines on time, and enables them to pay these fines while at the Residency Department’s headquarters without the hassle of visiting the traffic Department. “Providing customers of the Residency Department with this time-saving service complements the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Interior to streamline and develop services as per the best practices,” added Colonel Al Bloushi.

Colonel Mohammed Sultan Al Dhaheri, Deputy Head of the Department also attended the ceremony; along with Lt. Colonel Salah Abdullah Al Hemairi, Chief of Al Ain Traffic Section; and a number of officers from Al Ain Traffic Section and the Residency and Foreigners Affairs Department in Al Ain.
