New certification enables immediate credit card payments
MEUDON, France - Monday, September 30th 2013
Regulatory News:
Netsize, a Gemalto company, has achieved PCI DSS (Payment Card
Industry & Data Security Scheme) certification, extending the
capabilities of its payment platform beyond operator billing to allow
end user credit card details to be securely stored and thereby
facilitate convenient, immediate transactions. Mobile and digital
content providers will now be able to offer consumers an even wider
range of secure payment options, including higher transaction limits,
to a potential market of two billion consumers and three billion
devices.
The Netsize payment platform already enables content providers to
connect directly to the billing platforms of 160 mobile network
operators in over 50 different countries, supporting seamless and
efficient payments directly from a handset for purchases of apps,
music, images and videos. By meeting the stringent requirements of
the globally recognized PCI DSS standard, Netsize delivers yet more
flexibility to this mobile payment ecosystem, with the same high
standards in security that the company has been known to provide. In
particular, the new certification enables higher transaction limits,
which enables faster time-to-market for a host of premium mobile
services.
