MoI Organizes Communal Iftar for Federal Punitive and Correctional Establishments Inmates

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Tuesday, July 14th 2015 [ME NewsWire]

In celebration of the holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Abu Dhabi Federal Punitive and Correctional Establishments Department, organized a communal Iftar for inmates at the establishment. This step falls within the framework of the Ministry’s efforts to foster social and humanitarian communication with the inmates.

The Iftar was attended by Dr. Yusuf Rashed Al Hamidi, Head of the Policies and Standards Department; Colonel Yousef Mohammed Al Shehhi, Director of the Abu Dhabi Federal Punitive and Correctional Establishments Department; Colonel Muhammad Ali Al Harithi, Acting Director of Resources and Services; Colonel Mohammed Shamekh Ali Al Badi, Head of the Inspection and Control Department at the Punitive and Correctional Establishments; in addition to a number of officers at the department.

The initiative, organized by the establishments for the first time during Ramadan in a bid to bring joy to the inmates during the holy month, promotes the values of social responsibility and supports the charitable and humanitarian efforts of the General Directorate of Punitive and Correctional Establishments Department.
